Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles out there, but there should be something that you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? Something which triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, that which was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Think of your daily life since it is apparently these days in terms of the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who’s my source?” So whenever we talk about the last stage of the awakening being pure trust, it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon most of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. acim store  It’s a lot like building a big house of cards, stacking on one card following the other. Then the good wind comes along and poof, it’s only blown over. It can’t even stand only a little gust of wind. It’s so frail. It’s so temporary. It’s so transitory; It was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon anything else; all those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It certainly comes right down to the essence of who is my buddy? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this 1?So you’re asking the question, “When someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. This really is a full world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn’t reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons start out with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I’ve given everything I see all the meaning it’s for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number 4, “These thoughts don’t mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s talking about thoughts. First He’s talking about perception, then about our thoughts, then He returns with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts don’t mean anything.” You will see he’s trying to melt everything together and show the last veil or stage of awakening, which is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time for you to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they are all illusions and that they are all equally meaningless. That’s precisely the method of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to utilize your brain to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What sort of things do you invest in, these days?
